Can Men and Women be Friends?
In my opinion, men and women cannot be real friends because they are men and women. They can be equal in terms of justice but they are different in terms of sex. Moreover, it is true that male-female relationships have changed; that is, women and men work, study, and even live together so they can be colleagues, classmates, or friends but they cannot be a real friends. Society may say that it can be; however, if one man or woman says that she or he is real friend of someone who is opposite sex, then I believe that he or she fell in love with him or her. I saw that kind of friendships many times. If boy and girl say they are real friends then they have some kinds of feeling beyond friendship, if they do not have that kinds of feelings then they are only friends. In addition, that friendship may cause some problems like misunderstanding or jealousy between their families. To sum up, I believe that the best way of the real friendship is female to female or male to male as they can understand each other in a better way. Also, they can be friends with opposite sex but only friend.
I agree with you Arzuv men and women cannot be a real friends because women are more sensitive and emotional than men. A woman wants to share everything with her friends but man does not like to share everything such as his sadness since they does not want to be seen as weak. And if a woman cannot talk about everything a man why should be they friend? As you said I saw many examples that boy and girl say they are real friends then they would be lovers. Thoughts and needs of women and men are different. Women think emotionally while men think sexually. Shortly, a man and woman can be a friend but not REAL friend.

ReplyDeleteI do not believe in a friendship between women and men too. As you mentioned one day friendships grows into something more than just friend. One of the pair falls in love and they both suffer from it. Thank you for sharing your opinion with us.
